Having optimized and modernized the extracted business rules (annotated, replaced variable and entity names, renamed, deactivated, sliced and merged), the application is ready for transformation and migration.

The Modernization Console provides a wizard to transform the modified rules into native target code in C#, VB.Net and Java; or into models for code-generation products like CA Gen.

During the transformation and target generation phase, the user may:
  • Select programs to for conversion. This allows creation of services
  • Select target attributes including the language in which the target has to be generated
Upon selection of programs and target attributes, the console transforms the selected programs’ modernized business rules into a component model and then into an object model. These models are then migrated into native target code or code generation models in the language selected.
